Creative Northlands annual ArtBeat Carnival Day at the Whangārei Town Basin, will be on Saturday 12th April.

“We’ve done a lot of reflecting and have listened to community feedback – deciding that Artbeat 2025 will be a MONTH-LONG celebration of all things arts, culture, and heritage across Whangārei – designed to elevate, celebrate and activate local arts spaces, showcase the work of arts organisations, and increase community participation and engagement in arts, culture and heritage.
During the month Creative Northland will still host our usual “ArtBeat” carnival day on Saturday 12th April (first weekend of School Holidays)

ArtBeat 2025: Weaving Communities aims to create a space where our Arts, Culture & Heritage sector, spaces, places and people can unite to share the many ways in which creative expression enriches us all.
ArtBeat 2025 extends throughout April 2025, allowing galleries, arts organisations, community groups, heritage spaces and cultural practitioners to activate their spaces and invite community to experience their offerings – free-of-charge.
