Brighton, musically known as DJ LAWO, relocated from Cape Town, South Africa to Whangarei in 2022. His enthusiasm and love for music started at age 11 where he was part of the junior school choir. He would go on to be a solo recording artist at 15 before being part of a 6-member all male acapella group in senior school. Having stayed in Cape Town for 12 years as an adult, his love for House Music and Amapiano Music developed and hence the pursuit for Dj’ing and music production. Despite being an all-rounder, Brighton’s passion lies in AfroHouse Music, Deep House Music, TechHouse, Melodic House, and Amapiano Music. He is an up-and-coming DJ who features at many scenes in the Northland entertainment space.
